The idiom of “the pot calling the kettle black” seems a little antiquated. These days, most pots and kettles are made of stainless steel.
Might I suggest an update for the 21st century:
Whenever someone is being hypocritical, we can say “that’s Glenn Beck calling Mel Gibson crazy.”
